View 17,000 Azaleas Blooming in SATOYAMA @TOKYO


As many as 17,000 azaleas bloom at Shiofune Kannonji Temple from mid-April to early May when the Azalea Festival is held and a lot of people come to view the carpet of flowers.

 
 
 
 
You can see also historical buildings designated as cultural properties, huge Japanese cedar tree designated as a natural monument and the 15 meter tall standing statue of Kannon Bodhisattva known as a Goddess of mercy who has a small water bottle to distribute water of virtue to people for relieving suffering and giving pleasure.
