After the lunch break, we went to the Indigo dyeing studio. We can experience the indigo dyeing in the authentic, traditional method at this factory. 

 

 

That was really fun and not that difficult. Furthermore, we can take our work home. 

This is one of the best place to experience Japanese traditional craftwork in Tokyo.
 

 

Next cultural site is sake brewery. We got guided tour inside the brewery and the premise.
This historical architecture was built about 200 years ago.

 

After the informative program, we sampled the new brewed sake.

That was totally fresh and delicious.

After exploring the limestone cave, we walked around the Hatonosu Gorge.
The season of autumn leaves was a little over, but the great view is always beautiful.

And we enjoyed “Soba”, noodles made from buckwheat, and local vegetable tempura, deep fried vegetables. These are fresh and delicious.

We can see another beautiful gorge, Mitake Gorge, from the windows.

We first went to see the biggest cypress tree in Tokyo. We hiked the steep hillside for about 20 minutes, and finally we found the tree. This 1,000 years-old tree is designated as natural treasure in Tokyo.

 

Second, we went to the limestone cave in Nippara. This big cave is one of the most famous limestone cave in Japan, and it keeps 11℃ inside all year.
